In New Orleans, birthplace of jazz and blues in the USA, one of the most popular expressions is “laissez les bons temps rouler” (let the good times roll). Inspired by this motto, swiss pianist Frank Salis creates a soundscape based on jazz, soul, blues, funk and a whole lotta groove. In control of his Hammond organ – an instrument that became notable by the hands of master Jimmy Smith (1925-2005) – Salis sets the audience on fire wherever he takes his energetic performances. Salis has already played with artists such as Bobby Watson, Alvin “Little Pink” Anderson, Tommy Castro and Terry Evans. For this special concert, recorded in Belinzona, Switzerland, he brings original tunes like “À good good day”, “The bayou”, “Sisters” and “How much love“. The musician has already played with artists such as Bobby Watson, Alvin “Little Pink” Anderson, Tommy Castro and Terry Evans, and has lately been performing with gospel singer Lavelle Duggan as well as New Orleans musicians John Boutté, Andrés Osborne and Michael Watson.
